About this event
Based on Disney’s The Lion King and loosely inspired by Shakespeare’s Hamlet, the show follows Simba, a young lion prince destined to become king of the Pride Lands. When his father Mufasa is killed by his jealous uncle Scar, Simba is told he is responsible and must run away. Scar’s dark rule brings desolation, until Simba returns to reclaim his throne. The JR. version condenses the original’s two acts into one, streamlining the plot while keeping key moments, songs, and African‑inspired theatrical elements.
